Introduction. This article is devoted to assessing the quality of life of people with disabilities due to malignant neoplasms of the brain over the age of 18 on the basis of a sociological study.
Aim. To assess the quality of life of people with disabilities due to malignant neoplasms of the brain in Moscow.
Materials and methods. The article presents the data obtained as a result of a sociological survey of people with disabilities due to malignant neoplasms of the brain.
Results. The comparative characteristics of the respondents’ responses on the problems of movement, selfservice, performing daily duties, as well as on the problems of pain/discomfort, anxiety and depression are given. The responses of respondents with disabilities of the I-II-III disability groups on the problems of pain/discomfort, anxiety and depression were analyzed separately.
Discussion. The data obtained formed a database for improving the approach to comprehensive rehabilitation of people with disabilities due to malignant neoplasms of the brain.
Summary. The data obtained as a result of a sociological study represent a database that can contribute to the planning of measures for the comprehensive rehabilitation of people with disabilities due to malignant neoplasms of the brain.
