Dmitry Mokhov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Chief osteopathy specialist of the Russian Federation Ministry of Health, Head of the Department of Osteopathy at Mechnikov North-West State Medical University, President of the Russian Osteopathic Association, Member of the American Academy of Osteopathy, Editor-in-chief of the Russian Osteopathic Journal, Director of St. Petersburg Institute of Osteopathy, the largest school of osteopathic education in Russia.
Dmitry Mokhov is the founder of osteopathic education in state educational institutions of Russia and the author of educational programs on osteopathy, approved by the Russian Federation Ministry of Health.
For many years he has been combining clinical practice, teaching and research. This allowed him to develop the theoretical and methodological foundations for the introduction of the new medical specialty “Osteopathy”. Under his leadership, in 2014-2015, the first clinical guidelines for osteopathy in Russia were created.
As the chief osteopathy specialist of the Russian Federation Ministry of Health, Dmitry Mokhov initiated the development of a number of documents regulating various aspects of the activity of osteopathic physicians.
He is the holder of 7 patents for inventions and the author of more than 250 scientific publications, as well as the founder of the first international research group on osteopathy, which includes leading European and Russian osteopaths.
As President of the Russian Osteopathic Association, he conducts a great deal of public work. The Association carries out professional regulation of osteopathic activities in our country.
He founded the only in Russia periodic scientific and practical publication on osteopathy “Russian Osteopathic Journal”, which has been published for more than 5 years. Since the foundation of the journal, Dmitry Mokhov has been its editor-in-chief.
