Annotation:

Introduction. The article is devoted to the analysis of the practice of advanced training of specialists of federal institutions of medical and social expertise and the ways of its improvement.

Aim. The purpose of the article is to determine the most significant ways of improvement in the system of advanced training of specialists of federal institutions of medical and social expertise.

Materials and methods. A survey of the heads of the institutions and those responsible for training in medical and social expertise was conducted in the form of collecting data on the needs for education and a focus group.

Results. The main areas of demand for advanced training of medical and social expertise specialists were identified, including: regulatory issues and current regulations in the field of medical and social expertise, improving the competencies of workers in complex cases of examination, deepening and updating knowledge from a clinical specialty (therapy, neurology, surgery, etc.).

Conclusion. The identified training needs and topics will form the basis for developing standard programs for advanced training of specialists in medical and social expertise.
