Introduction. Existing methods of selecting modular lower limb prostheses often do not provide sufficient personalization, which leads to patient dissatisfaction.
Aim. Development of a methodology for personalized selection of prosthetic modules based on an expanded examination protocol.
Materials and methods. The analysis of medical documentation and regulations governing prosthetics has been carried out.
Results. A structured protocol for multiparametric patient assessment has been developed, including the selection of the type of prosthesis and its components based on a formalized knowledge base.
Discussion. The technique allows to objectify and simplify the selection process, minimizing subjectivity.
Conclusion. The proposed protocol is an effective tool for personalized selection of the prosthesis configuration, especially for primary prosthetic patients.
