Introduction. Oncological diseases are a global medical and social problem characterized by an increase in morbidity and the need to improve treatment and rehabilitation strategies. Malignant neoplasms of the colon occupy a leading place in the structure of oncopathology, determining a significant medical and economic burden. Analysis of primary disability and nosological features of this pathology is of key importance for optimizing rehabilitation measures and improving clinical outcomes.
Aim. To study the structure and nosological spectrum of primary disability due to malignant neoplasms of the colon among the adult population in Moscow for 2016-2022.
Materials and methods. The study is continuous, using statistical observation forms N 7-sobes, the EAVIIAS MSE database of the Federal State Institution «State Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise in Moscow». The object of the study was the population aged 18 years and older, primarily recognized as disabled due to malignant neoplasms of the colon in Moscow.
Results. The main share of disabled people due to malignant neoplasms of the colon were people over working age, with a predominance of women in the gender structure, but a higher level of primary disability among men. In the nosological structure, sigmoid colon lesions prevailed. Among those recognized as disabled for the first time, people of group II prevailed, with a tendency for the share of group I to increase and group III to decrease.
Discussion. The study revealed key patterns of disability in colon cancer, including age and gender characteristics, as well as the predominance of severe disability groups. The data obtained substantiate the need to optimize screening and develop personalized rehabilitation strategies for this category of patients.
Conclusion. The results of the study substantiate the need to improve the system of care for patients with colon cancer through the introduction of differentiated approaches to rehabilitation, taking into account the identified age, gender and nosological features of disability formation. The identified patterns are important for planning medical and social support for patients, allowing for optimization of resource allocation and development of targeted rehabilitation programs.
