Introduction. Scientific support of activities carried out as part of the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with combat injury is an integral part of the process of improving the quality of medical services. The study of the publication stream on medical evacuation measures for patients with combat trauma is one of the steps to determine the state and strategy for the development of scientific support of the field of interest.

Aim. The aim is to conduct a scientometric analysis of the publication flow on medical evacuation measures for patients with combat trauma.

Materials and methods. In the study, 476546 publications from eLIBRARY and PubMed Central were analyzed, based on the results of 49 queries, including the most commonly used terms and phrases. The choice of scientific publications was carried out according to the unique identifier of the article and its bibliographic data: the title of the article, the number of authors and citations, the country, year and language of publication. The Python 3.11.2 programming language and its libraries are used as a data processing and visualization tool: Numpy, Pandas, re (Regular expression operations), Pymorphy2, Plotly.

Results. In total, according to the results of queries on the topic of combat injury, 538232 publications were found in the studied databases, of which 476546 were unique. Of this number, 3894 unique publications in 956 Russian scientific journals were identified in eLIBRARY, 472652 in 124 journals in PubMed Central. According to the number of publications in the topic under study, the Russian Federation has next ranks: 1st in eLIBRARY, 7th in PubMed Central, 15th in the number of medical journals. Both databases maintain the trend of increasing the number of Russian publications. However, against the background of the global situation, the share of publications by Russian scientists in eLIBRARY is increasing, and in PubMed Central — the share of publications in Russian journals and in Russian is decreasing. In eLIBRARY, the number of publications by Ukrainian authors is decreasing, while in PubMed Central, the number of publications in Ukrainian journals is increasing.

Discussion. Against the background of sanctions imposed by Western countries on Russian scientists in 2022, there is no significant decrease in the number of publications on the topic of combat injury. However, the dynamics of the increase in the number of publications is not enough to maintain the achieved indicator of the share of publications in Russian and in Russian journals against the background of a worldwide increase in the number of publications. The trend of a decrease in the number of publications by Ukrainian authors on the topic of combat injury in the database in eLIBRARY since 2015 and its growth in foreign databases has been revealed.
At the same time, one of the goals of the National Project “Science” is to ensure the presence of the Russian Federation among the five leading countries of the world. In this regard, the lag of the Russian Federation in the number of scientific publications from Switzerland, which is on the 5 th place in the PubMed Central database, which is about 2.2 times, and in the number of scientific journals about 4.4 times, is investigated.

Conclusion. The analysis of the world and domestic scientific publication flow devoted to medical evacuation measures of patients with combat injury in the databases eLIBRARY and PubMed Central showed a significant gap between the Russian Federation and leading foreign countries in the number of publications and scientific journals. Currently, it is very difficult to achieve the goal of the National Project “Science” to ensure the presence of the Russian Federation among the five leading countries of the world.
There has been a decrease in the number of publications of authors of the former Soviet republics in the electronic scientific library eLIBRARY, since 2014, against the background of an increase in the pool of their articles in foreign databases.
The share of Russian scientific publications in the PubMed Central database is also decreasing annually due to the sanctions policy pursued by the United States and its allies against the Russian Federation and its friendly countries.
