Annotation:

Introduction. In most foreign countries which have adopted the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities the principles of a universal, accessible environment have been approved.
Using the experience of the State of Israel, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Finland, the French Republic, the United Kingdom, etc., the Russian Federation has begun the process of unbundling residential institutions, the construction of assisted living houses in residential areas, the provision of apartments for people with severe disabilities to live on lease or private property, the creation of a market of social services for citizens, living in conditions of accompanied accommodation. In this regard, there is an acute problem of organizing living space for the purposes of group accompanied accommodation.

Aim. Comparative analysis of domestic and foreign experience in the organization of living space for the disabled in the framework of accompanied accommodation.

Materials and methods. The scientific substantiation basis of the accompanied accommodation apartment project includes the results of 14 advanced Russian practices of accompanied accommodation. The types of used housing, its premises, equipment, including technical means of rehabilitation are analyzed. The contingent of disabled residents has been studied, taking into account impaired body functions and limitations of vital activity.

Results. The principles of the formation of living space for the disabled within the framework of accompanied living have been formed, taking into account the impaired functions of the body and the limitations of vital activity.

Discussion. A comparative analysis of domestic and foreign experience in the organization of living space for people with disabilities with various disorders of body functions and life limitations has shown that the search for sources of financial provision of housing, as well as its adaptation to the needs of disabled people, remains an urgent problem, among other things.

Conclusion. The approach to the organization of living space for the disabled within the framework of accompanied living taking into account the impaired functions of the body and the vital activity limitations contributes to a real increase in the overall level of comfort of the living environment and the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
